Malnourishment is a critical issue in Dalit communities and minors as well as majors alike are afflicted with it. The girls in particular get malnourished before reaching their adolescence. Samagra Seva is strengthening the AW Centers being run in Dalit hamlets, it identifies and tracks the malnourished children and provides counseling to their parents about their diet, health, hygiene and taking its weight on a regular frequency. Such identified children are admitted in the Nutritional Rehabilitation Center (NRC) with the help of AWWs and ASHAs and they are encouraged to make more use of the Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND).
